FUJIFILM India has installed and commissioned its Echelon Smart MRI at JANSONS HEALTH in Erode, Tamil Nadu, expanding access to advanced MRI diagnostics beyond major urban centres.

The installation marks a significant milestone for FUJIFILM India as the company’s first MRI installation in India equipped with Deep Learning Reconstruction (DLR) technology.

The technology uses deep learning to reduce image noise while improving image sharpness and clarity, enabling high-quality imaging with shorter scan times.

The Echelon Smart MRI is designed to support a broad range of examinations, including neurological, spine, musculoskeletal, abdominal and pelvic, angiographic and whole-body imaging. Its combination of image quality, patient-centric design and workflow-focused technologies is intended to help clinicians make confident diagnostic assessments while improving the patient experience.

The MRI deployment adds to JANSONS HEALTH’s existing imaging capabilities, which include Fujifilm’s Supria 32 CT system, a low-dose CT platform designed for high-throughput examinations while maintaining image quality with optimised radiation dose.

The Echelon Smart MRI is also supported by Fujifilm’s Synapse 3D advanced visualisation and image analysis platform, which uses Image Intelligence technology to provide applications across radiology, cardiology, surgery and oncology. The platform supports 3D modelling, image analysis and clinical workflow management.

T. N. Thirukumar, Managing Director, Jansons Group of Companies, India, said, “At JANSONS HEALTH, our focus has always been to strengthen diagnostic capabilities and provide patients with access to reliable and advanced imaging services. The installation of the FUJIFILM Echelon Smart MRI enhances our ability to support accurate and efficient diagnosis across a wide range of clinical applications.”

“We believe that access to advanced imaging technology closer to patients can play an important role in enabling timely clinical evaluation and improving the overall patient experience,” added Thirukumar.

Kai Yoshida, Japanese Business Advisor, CT, MRI & Women’s Imaging, FUJIFILM India, said, “At FUJIFILM India, we remain committed to expanding access to reliable, advanced and patient-centric diagnostic technologies. The Echelon Smart MRI at JANSONS HEALTH combines high-quality imaging, patient comfort and efficient workflows to support confident diagnosis.”

“Through collaborations such as this, we aim to bring advanced diagnostic capabilities closer to patients and help healthcare institutions respond to evolving clinical needs,” added Yoshida.
