Philips has entered into a strategic collaboration with Cent to advance preventive diagnostics and enable earlier detection of health risks in India, combining Philips’ imaging technologies with Cent’s preventive health screening model.

The collaboration comes as healthcare systems globally shift from reactive disease management towards predictive and preventive care, increasing the need for technologies that can identify potential health risks before symptoms emerge.

As part of the collaboration, Philips will deploy its helium-free, wide-bore 70 cm 1.5T MRI systems with AI-enabled SmartSpeed image acceleration at Cent’s preventive health screening centres.

The initiative will explore approaches to enhance the screening experience, imaging quality and MRI workflow efficiency, while evaluating neurological, spine and oncology-related indications and risk-assessment pathways.

Philips and Cent will also assess MRI protocols, clinical workflows and operational requirements for preventive screening and risk assessment among asymptomatic individuals.
