Aragen Life Sciences, one of India’s three largest CRDMOs, has launched operations at Aragen OneHP, a new high-potency development and manufacturing platform at its Nacharam campus in Hyderabad.
This, strengthening its capabilities in highly potent molecules and oncology-focused therapies.
Spread across about 15,000 sq ft, OneHP is designed to handle highly potent compounds, including cytotoxic molecules and targeted oncology therapies. The platform has one manufacturing line with a designed annual capacity of 500-600 kg of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
The facility offers customers an integrated route from early discovery to process development and multi-kilogram cGMP manufacturing. Its capabilities range from small-scale chemistry synthesis of up to 10 grams and non-GMP process development and scale-up of up to 500 grams, to cGMP manufacturing of 500 grams to 5 kg per batch.
Advanced containment systems at the facility are designed to handle compounds with occupational exposure limits of up to 10 ng/m³, subject to ongoing validation.
“With OneHP, we are bringing discovery, development and cGMP manufacturing for highly potent molecules onto a more integrated platform. This can reduce handoffs between providers, while keeping process knowledge and programme context connected as a molecule moves from early development towards commercial supply,” said Aniel Khubchandani, Chief Executive Officer – Small Molecules-CDMO, Aragen Life Sciences.
The launch marks the latest step in Aragen’s broader capacity expansion programme. The company invested more than ₹1,000 crore in capital expenditure over the three years to March 2026, expanding capabilities across small molecules and biologics.
Aragen’s contract development and manufacturing business grew at a 19% compound annual growth rate during the period, while its contract research business expanded at 12%. Installed small-molecule capacity reached 364 KL across its Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam facilities as of March 31, 2026.
The company’s global footprint remains a key part of its business. Nearly 95% of its revenue in the year ended March 2026 came from international customers. During the year, Aragen served 591 customers worldwide, including 16 of the world’s top 20 pharmaceutical companies.
Highly potent molecules, particularly cytotoxic compounds, require specialised containment, handling and manufacturing infrastructure. OneHP brings these capabilities together under a single platform, allowing customers to move programmes from early-stage chemistry through development, scale-up and cGMP production.
Aragen said the platform will also provide a foundation for future expansion into advanced modalities, including antibody-drug conjugates and peptide-drug conjugates.
