Cognizant is extending its technology partnership with Gilead Sciences for another five years, with the expanded agreement putting a sharper focus on DevOps capabilities and the responsible use of agentic AI across selected technology programs.
Under the deal, Cognizant will bring its life sciences and technology expertise to Gilead’s development and operations environment, targeting practical applications designed to simplify processes, accelerate delivery and help teams execute priority technology programs more efficiently.
The agreement builds on more than a decade of work between the companies, during which Cognizant has supported elements of Gilead’s global IT infrastructure, platforms, applications and advanced analytics.
"Our focus is on giving our teams reliable, efficient technology that helps them move important work forward," said Anna Berg Asberg, Global CIO, Gilead. "We value the opportunity to continue supporting Gilead's technology priorities," said Surya Gummadi, President, Americas, Cognizant. "Our work will bring together life sciences experience, DevOps capabilities and AI tools to help Gilead improve delivery across selected programs."
