Aim of the virtual conference is to facilitate Indian Pharma Industry adopt Green & Sustainable Chemistry as a tool to enhance Economic & Environmental Competitiveness

A two day virtual conference on “Innovations in Green & Sustainable Chemistry for Pharma Industry” is scheduled to be held on 19th & 20th January’22.
 
With stricter enforcement of environmental norms by regulatory bodies; increasing awareness in common man regarding right to clean environment, demand by customers (global MNCs) to meet acceptable standards of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) compliances, there has been a realization in the Pharma Industry that – to sustain the current double digit growth rates, it is imperative to adopt Green & Sustainable Chemistry based strategies, tools and practices & reduce its environmental footprint. 
 
Intention of this virtual conference is to facilitate Indian Pharma Industry adopt Green & Sustainable Chemistry as a tool to enhance Economic & Environmental Competitiveness.
 
Global leaders in the domain of Green Chemistry, Process Safety, Environment & Sustainability from companies like Pfizer, Merck, AstraZeneca, Novartis, Gilead, Codexis, CatSci, Solara Active Pharma, Hikal, Centrient Pharma, etc would be sharing recent innovations, case studies, tools & best practices at the conference.
 
The conference is being organized by Green ChemisTree Foundation, a registered not-for-profit organization, in collaboration with American Chemical Society-Green Chemistry Institute Pharmaceutical Roundtable (USA) and Pharma Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI), USA. The conference is being supported by Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association of India (BDMAI), Chemical Weekly, Indian Chemical News (ICN) and Indian Pharma Post (IPP).
