Operating performance also strengthened significantly, with consolidated EBITDA climbing 55% year-on-year to Rs 36.52 crore from Rs 23.60 crore. EBITDA margin expanded to 37% during the quarter, up from 33% a year earlier, reflecting improved operational efficiencies and profitability.

The company reported consolidated EBITDA of Rs 148.32 crore for H1 FY27, against Rs 49.78 crore in the year-ago period, while net profit rose sharply to Rs 117.36 crore from Rs 31.63 crore.
Hester Biosciences said it remains focused on building sustainable long-term profitability through operational efficiencies, product development and disciplined execution.
For the remainder of FY27, the company plans to intensify its growth strategy across poultry and animal healthcare, while strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and expanding its international footprint.
Key priorities include sustaining growth in Poultry Healthcare through new product launches, deeper market penetration and geographical expansion. The company will also strengthen its Animal Healthcare biologicals portfolio while rationalising its health products portfolio to improve profitability and optimise resource allocation.
Hester will continue advancing vaccine development and pursuing national and international regulatory submissions across poultry and livestock healthcare.
Improving manufacturing efficiency and capacity utilisation through operational improvements will remain another key priority. On the export front, the company plans to pursue new opportunities through product registrations, targeted market development and institutional business.
Hester's strategy is centred on translating investments in product development and manufacturing capabilities into sustained business growth, backed by tighter cost controls, improved operational efficiency and consistent execution.
