Ibex Medical Analytics (Ibex), a leader in clinical-grade AI pathology, has announced a strategic partnership with HNL Lab Medicine, a major multi-regional US.medical laboratory. 

 

The collaboration will see HNL Lab Medicine deploy Ibex’s cutting-edge AI solution, Ibex Prostate, for biopsies and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), boosting both diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency.

 

The move marks a major leap in HNL Lab Medicine’s digital transformation. Since 2023, the lab has operated a state-of-the-art digital pathology practice using Proscia’s Concentriq platform and Leica Biosystems’ high-throughput imaging hardware. By layering Ibex’s AI on top of this infrastructure, HNL Lab Medicine is shifting from a digital operation to a fully AI-powered workflow—setting a new benchmark for U.S. diagnostic excellence.

 

Ibex Prostate enhances pathologists’ capabilities by detecting and grading cancer and other critical findings in both core needle biopsies and TURPs. Acting as a precision diagnostic aid and safety net, it helps ensure no suspicious lesion is overlooked. This initial deployment within HNL Lab Medicine’s Lab Developed Test (LDT) workflow for prostate cancer lays the groundwork for a broader, evolving partnership in AI-powered diagnostics.
