Novotech is set to acquire Adelaide-based Agilex Biolabs from a wholly owned subsidiary of Australian healthcare company Healius Limited, strengthening the global clinical research organisation’s bioanalytical capabilities in Australia.
Novotech, a global full-service clinical research organisation (CRO) and scientific advisory company, has reached an agreement with a wholly owned subsidiary of Healius Limited to acquire Agilex Biolabs, a specialist bioanalytical laboratory business headquartered in Adelaide.
The deal will expand Novotech’s existing clinical development platform by adding specialist bioanalytical expertise in Australia to its laboratory network across Asia.
Novotech said the acquisition will strengthen its ability to support biotech and pharmaceutical sponsors with responsive research and development services in Australia, a key destination for early-phase clinical research.

For Healius, the transaction will give Agilex customers and employees access to Novotech’s established global platform and its work with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
