RPG Life Sciences Limited has crossed the Rs 200-crore quarterly revenue milestone, reporting a 16.5% year-on-year growth in revenue from operations to Rs 211.6 crore in the second quarter of FY27, backed by strong domestic formulations performance and improving gross margins.
The company's adjusted EBITDA, excluding one-off API acquisition and restructuring costs of Rs 5.5 crore, rose 15% to Rs 50.1 crore, translating into a healthy EBITDA margin of 23.7%.
For the first half of FY27, revenue from operations grew 16.2% to Rs 407.3 crore, compared with Rs 350.6 crore in the corresponding period last year. Adjusted EBITDA increased 16.1% to Rs 97.9 crore from Rs 84.3 crore.
A key growth driver was the domestic formulations business, which continued to outperform the Indian Pharmaceutical Market (IPM). The business clocked 11.6% growth, becoming the fourth-fastest-growing pharmaceutical company in the market and breaking into the Top 50 rankings.
The company's flagship brand, Naprosyn, also crossed the Rs 100-crore sales milestone, marking another significant achievement.
RPG Life Sciences delivered a 260-basis-point expansion in gross margins during Q2 despite a challenging external environment. Adjusted profit before tax, excluding the one-off costs, grew 11.3%, supported by revenue growth, strategic initiatives and operating discipline.
The company's reported EBITDA stood at Rs 44.7 crore after accounting for the one-off API acquisition and restructuring expenses.
The recently acquired sites contributed Rs 0.5 crore to Q2 revenue. Full revenue contribution from both sites is expected to begin in Q3, following the transaction's closure at the end of September.
RPG Life Sciences' international formulations business also returned to growth, registering a 6.4% increase in Q2 and 7% growth in the first half of FY27.
The performance was supported by growth across key products and markets. The company is now positioning the business for its next phase of expansion through new market registrations, contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) opportunities, focused business development and cost-competitive initiatives.
With its domestic formulations business continuing to outpace the market, international operations returning to growth and margins remaining resilient, RPG Life Sciences has maintained its growth momentum in the first half of FY27.
