National Health Mission Madhya Pradesh has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sanofi India Limited to enhance public healthcare delivery across the state.

The collaboration has a strong focus on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), diabetes awareness, rare disease management, and healthcare accessibility in underserved regions.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Saloni Sidana, Mission Director, NHM Madhya Pradesh, and Deepak Arora, Managing Director of Sanofi India Limited.

The collaboration aims to improve early disease detection, strengthen healthcare infrastructure, and expand awareness initiatives across Madhya Pradesh.

Under the “Kids and Diabetes in Schools (KiDS)” program, students, teachers, and parents will be educated on healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and nutrition awareness. 

To improve healthcare outreach in remote areas, Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) will initially be deployed in Singrauli, Balaghat, and Anuppur districts. These units will offer free screening and treatment services for conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and oral cancer, along with teleconsultation support from doctors. 

Dr. Saloni Sidana said the initiative would significantly improve healthcare access in rural and underserved communities by enabling free diagnostics, treatment, and teleconsultation services closer to people’s homes. She also emphasized the importance of school-based health education in promoting long-term healthy lifestyle habits.

Deepak Arora noted that rising NCD cases in India underline the importance of early detection and awareness. He reaffirmed Sanofi India’s commitment to strengthening healthcare systems through collaborative public health initiatives that improve patient outcomes.
