It will bring together renowned global experts in the field to discuss groundbreaking advances in biomaterials and their clinical applications
Somaiya Vidyavihar University, a legacy educational institute, has announced the International Conference on Clinical Translation of Biomaterial-based Therapeutics and Devices (ICBTD 2025).
The event will be held on February 6-7, 2025, and will bring together renowned global experts in the field to discuss groundbreaking advances in biomaterials and their clinical applications.
Endorsed by the Society of Biomaterials and Artificial Organs, India (SBAOI) and organised in collaboration with Somaiya’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), ICBTD 2025 aims to accelerate progress in the clinical translation of biomaterials.
The conference will explore key topics such as:
* Advances in biomaterials for tissue regeneration, drug delivery, and diagnostics.
* Challenges in clinical translation, include navigating regulatory processes and overcoming technological hurdles.
* Regulatory guidelines and ethical considerations in biomedical research.
ICBTD 2025 will feature discussions, lectures, and presentations by renowned researchers, industry pioneers, and regulatory experts (please add names), who will share their insights on the latest innovations in biomaterials. A key highlight will be a panel discussion on the challenges of translating medical technologies and bringing together experts from clinical, industrial, regulatory, and research sectors.
Samir Somaiya, Chancellor, Somaiya Vidyavihar University emphasised Somaiya Vidyavihar University’s commitment to fostering global collaboration, stating: “This conference exemplifies our vision of fostering global collaboration in biomedical sciences. By bridging research and real-world applications, we aim to ensure that biomaterial breakthroughs benefit society at large.”
“It is a privilege to host the International Conference on Biomaterials, where brilliant minds unite to shape the future of healthcare. This platform fosters collaboration, explores cutting-edge advancements in biomaterial science, and aims to overcome the challenges of translating research into real-world applications. Together, we can unlock the full potential of biomaterials and transform healthcare for generations to come,” said Dr. V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai, Vice-Chancellor, Somaiya Vidyavihar University.
ICBTD 2025 is open to a broad audience, including medical professionals, scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and students (UG/PG). It provides a unique opportunity for collaboration, problem-solving, and addressing the real-world challenges in the clinical translation of biomaterials.
