Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, is ramping up its bioprocessing capabilities across Asia, reinforcing its commitment to the region’s booming biopharmaceutical industry.

The company announced a new Bioprocess Design Center in Hyderabad, India, alongside major expansions of its existing centers in Incheon, Korea, and Singapore.

The move strengthens a strategic tri-hub network designed to boost speed, efficiency, and sustainability in biomanufacturing. Asia has emerged as a global hotspot for biologics, vaccines, and cell and gene therapies, and Thermo Fisher’s continued investment gives customers access to world-class technologies, expertise, and local support.

“Asia continues to play an increasingly important role in advancing innovation across the global biopharma industry,” said Daniella Cramp, Senior Vice President and President, BioProduction at Thermo Fisher Scientific. “By expanding our network in Korea, Singapore and India, we’re bringing world-class infrastructure and expertise closer to our customers, helping them deliver high-quality biologics faster, more cost-effectively and more sustainably.

Thermo Fisher’s tri-hub network connects leading Bioprocess Design Centers in Incheon, Hyderabad, and Singapore, accelerating process development and making world-class expertise more accessible throughout the region:

In Incheon, the expanded center enables deeper collaboration and innovation with advanced materials, technologies, and enhanced lab capabilities.

In Hyderabad, developed with the Government of Telangana, the new center offers collaborative spaces for process design, simulation, and optimization. Customers can co-create and test bioprocesses using the latest single-use and hybrid systems, fueling India’s growing biomanufacturing ecosystem.

Similarly in Singapore, the upgraded facility provides bench-to-pilot scale bioprocessing, expert-led training, and close collaboration with Thermo Fisher’s technical teams to scale early-stage processes for flexible and sustainable manufacturing.

Together, these centers give customers direct access to innovation, training, and technical expertise, enabling greater agility, scalability, and faster time to market for biologics production, the company has said.
