Venus Remedies shareholders approve four board appointments and re-appointments

Saransh Chaudhary appointed Executive Director; Gurminder Singh Bedi joins as Independent Director, while Manu Chaudhary and Savita Gupta secure second terms

Venus Remedies shareholders have approved four board-level appointments and re-appointments at the company's 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on August 20, 2026, in Chandigarh.

The approvals, disclosed to the National Stock Exchange and BSE under Regulation 30 of SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements, follow the company's initial board announcements made in May 2026.

Saransh Chaudhary was approved as an Executive Director in a whole-time capacity for a five-year term effective May 26, 2026. An Oxford University alumnus, Chaudhary has been with Venus Remedies for more than a decade and currently serves as CEO of the Venus Medicine Research Centre and President of the company's Global Critical Care and Consumer Healthcare division.

Shareholders also approved the appointment of Dr. Gurminder Singh Bedi as a Non-Executive Independent Director for five years from May 26, 2026. Dr. Bedi is an orthopaedic surgeon with more than 33 years of post-MS experience and has received the Pfizer Gold Medal for academic excellence.

Meanwhile, Dr. (Mrs.) Manu Chaudhary was re-appointed as Joint Managing Director for another five-year term beginning October 1, 2026. She leads the company's R&D and operations and has more than three decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. (Mrs.) Savita Gupta was also re-appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a second five-year term, effective December 30, 2026. Dr. Gupta has more than 35 years of experience and currently serves as a professor at the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The company said none of the four appointees or re-appointees are debarred from holding directorships under applicable SEBI or stock exchange regulations.

Venus Remedies said the AGM voting results and scrutiniser's report will be submitted to the stock exchanges after completion of the voting process.
