Vimta Labs posts strong Q1 FY27 performance

Revenue climbs 13.7% YoY to Rs. 1,129 million

Vimta Labs, India’s leading Contract Research and Testing Organisation, has delivered a robust start to FY27, reporting a 13.7% year-on-year rise in total income to Rs. 1,129 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
 
The company maintained strong profitability during the quarter, with EBITDA reaching Rs. 411 million and EBITDA margin standing at 36.4%. Profit after tax (PAT) rose 11.4% year-on-year to Rs. 210 million, with a PAT margin of 18.6%. Basic EPS for Q1 FY27 stood at Rs. 4.7.
 
Vimta Labs’ Pharmaceutical Research and Testing Services business continued to witness healthy momentum during the quarter, supporting overall growth despite ongoing global challenges affecting the Food Testing division.
 
Harita Vasireddi, Managing Director, Vimta Labs Limited, said: "Vimta Labs delivered another strong quarter, with total income of Rs. 1,129 million, up 13.7% YoY. Our Pharmaceutical Research and Testing Services business recorded healthy traction during the quarter. 
 
"While ongoing global uncertainties continued to impact the Food Testing division, the business is progressively offsetting these headwinds through deeper domestic market penetration and improved traction in local opportunities. The quarter’s performance underscores the resilience of our operating model and the strength of our diversified service portfolio.
 
"During the quarter, we successfully completed a regulatory audit from Ukraine, reaffirming our continued focus on quality and compliance. We also commenced operations in Biologics contract research and development services (CRADS), marking an important addition to our capabilities.
 
"Looking ahead, we remain optimistic about industry prospects and evolving business opportunities, supported by our strong capabilities, customer-centric approach, and expanding service portfolio."
 
The company highlighted several key operational milestones during the quarter, including the successful completion of a regulatory audit from Ukraine and the commencement of operations in Biologics contract research and development services (CRADS), strengthening its service capabilities.
