Sameer Garaye has been promoted to Vice President at Hetero, marking a significant advancement in his distinguished career in pharmaceutical research and development. 

Renowned for his expertise in sterile liquid injectables, complex injectables, ophthalmic formulations, suspensions, emulsions, liposomal drug delivery systems, nasal formulations, and parenteral products, he has been instrumental in driving formulation innovation and strengthening the company’s R&D capabilities. 

In his expanded leadership role, Sameer will continue to spearhead strategic research initiatives and further enhance Hetero’s competencies in developing complex pharmaceutical formulations.

Before his elevation, Sameer served as Assistant Vice President (R&D) at Hetero, having previously held the position of General Manager (R&D), where he led formulation development for injectable ANDA products, lyophilized formulations, nanosuspensions, lipid-based and liposomal therapies, and oncology-focused products. 

Prior to rejoining Hetero, he was General Manager (R&D) at Ingenus Pharmaceuticals, contributing to the development of advanced injectable and specialty formulations. 

Earlier in his career, he held several leadership positions at United Biotech India Pvt. Ltd., progressing from R&D Manager to Assistant General Manager (F&D), and worked with Strides Arcolab Limited in injectable formulation development. 

Drawing on extensive experience across Hetero, Ingenus Pharmaceuticals, United Biotech, and Strides Arcolab, Sameer brings a proven track record in pharmaceutical innovation, complex product development, and R&D leadership.
