Cipla has elevated Vinay Bassi to the position of Chief HR Operations, reinforcing its focus on strengthening people processes, HR technology, and employee experience.

A seasoned HR professional with nearly four decades of experience, Bassi has built expertise across the pharmaceutical, FMCG, manufacturing, and consumer sectors. 

Since joining Cipla, he has played a key role in modernising the company's HR operations by driving digital transformation, process excellence, and technology-enabled HR initiatives.

Prior to Cipla, Bassi served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Arvind Limited. He has also held senior HR leadership positions at Perfetti Van Melle, Onicra, Goodyear, PepsiCo, Ranbaxy Laboratories, Escorts Ltd., and PUNWIRE, where he led initiatives spanning HR transformation, industrial relations, talent management, organisational development, and workforce capability enhancement.

In his expanded role, Bassi will lead Cipla's HR operations agenda, with a focus on advancing technology-driven HR solutions, streamlining people processes, and enhancing the overall employee experience while supporting the company's long-term business objectives.

His elevation underscores Cipla's continued emphasis on building agile, future-ready HR capabilities to support growth, innovation, and organisational excellence.
