Hoola Health raises $5 million to expand child-centric paediatric care

Bengaluru-based startup will use the fresh capital to enter new markets, enhance technology capabilities, and scale its integrated care model

Hoola Health, formerly known as BabyMD, has secured $5 million in a funding round led by Peak XV Partnersthrough its Surge platform, with participation from existing investor W Health Ventures and angel investors including Ashish Gupta, Abhishek Goyal and Bijou Kurien.

The Bengaluru-based startup said the fresh capital will be deployed to support expansion into new markets, strengthen its technology infrastructure and scale its integrated paediatric care model.

Founded in 2024 by Deeksha Senguttuvan, Hoola Health is building an integrated paediatric healthcare ecosystem that combines consultations, vaccinations, developmental therapies and diagnostics through child-focused clinics supported by digital tools designed for children and parents.

Hoola Health's care model is built around three core principles: making healthcare less intimidating for children, providing parents with reassurance and clarity, and creating joyful, empathetic healthcare experiences. The company says its approach extends beyond treatment to offer long-term support for children and families.

The startup currently provides a range of primary and developmental paediatric services, including consultations, vaccinations, diagnostics, therapies and specialist support. It also plans to expand into additional areas such as paediatric dental care.

The funding announcement also coincides with the company's rebranding from BabyMD to Hoola Health. According to the company, the new identity reflects its broader ambition to support children through multiple stages of growth while maintaining its focus on empathy, trust and accessibility.

Deeksha Senguttuvan, Founder, Hoola Health, said, “Paediatric care in India has been fragmented for too long - parents struggling to find clinics they can trust, and doctors without the infrastructure to deliver the care they're trained to give.”

“For everyday needs like vaccinations and consultations, parents don't want to navigate a hospital - they want a capable clinic close to home, one that earns their trust and feels genuinely warm. Hoola Health is building exactly that: neighbourhood clinics where clinical excellence and a human experience go hand in hand,” Senguttuvan added further.
