Brenntag, the global leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, has partnered with Budenheim, a leading manufacturer of high-purity phosphate specialties, to expand the global supply of biopharma phosphate solutions through complementary commercial models.
The partnership combines Budenheim's manufacturing expertise with Brenntag's biopharma services and global distribution network, enabling customers to access both commercial-scale volumes and smaller, biopharma-focused pack sizes.
The move comes as demand for high-purity phosphate products continues to grow across key biopharmaceutical applications, including buffer preparation, cell culture, downstream processing and formulation.
As part of the collaboration, Budenheim's dedicated biopharma phosphates portfolio will be offered under BYPHAR, Brenntag's biopharma brand.
Brenntag will market the co-branded high-purity phosphates globally in pack sizes of 15 kg or less, providing greater flexibility from early-stage development through commercial manufacturing. Budenheim's PharSQ Pure brand, available in 25 kg and larger packaging, will be distributed exclusively by Brenntag across Europe.
The portfolio includes seven GMP-manufactured phosphates designed for biopharmaceutical applications: Monosodium Phosphate Anhydrous, Monohydrate and Dihydrate, alongside Disodium Phosphate Anhydrous, Dihydrate, Heptahydrate and Dodecahydrate.
The products are monograph compliant, microbiologically controlled, endotoxin tested and supplied in biopharma-oriented packaging to meet the stringent quality standards of biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
