US pharma major Eli Lilly and Company’s India arm has officially inaugurated its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. This is Lilly’s second GCC in India after Bengaluru and will focus on artificial intelligence, automation, cloud computing, and software product engineering to support innovation.
The 2,20,000 sq. ft. Hyderabad centre will power Eli Lilly’s global operations by strengthening digital capabilities and accelerating innovation in key areas like AI, automation, and cloud computing.
The facility has onboarded 100 professionals and plans to expand the headcount to 1,500 over the next few years.
At the inauguration, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the new site reinforces Hyderabad’s position as a global hub for healthcare innovation, supported by scientific talent and international collaboration. He added that companies like Lilly can thrive in this environment and deliver meaningful impact in India and beyond.
