Practo’s AI-led healthcare marketplace crosses $100 million GMV amid global expansion

Practo has announced significant momentum in its AI-driven healthcare expansion, with its marketplace surpassing $100 million in GMV following its entry into the United States.

The company said the growth has been powered entirely by AI-led, agentic systems that support healthcare discovery, decision-making, and care navigation at scale.

The company revealed that its platform currently manages more than 20,000 AI-driven calls and chats every day, enabling users to access healthcare information quickly and accurately. Practo said these systems are designed to provide continuous and reliable support, particularly during critical healthcare decision-making moments.

“We have spent nearly two decades building a deep understanding of how healthcare actually works across patients, providers, and outcomes. That foundation gives us a unique opportunity to build the AI brain for healthcare. Our focus is to apply this intelligence across every stage of the experience, helping patients make the right decisions, supporting providers with the right context, and ultimately improving outcomes. The potential here is immense, and we believe Practo is uniquely positioned to build this at a global scale,” said Shashank ND, Founder and CEO, Practo.

As part of its AI expansion strategy, Practo is also strengthening its AI engineering team by hiring experienced engineers for staff and lead-level roles focused on building large-scale healthcare intelligence systems.

Commenting on the company’s AI roadmap, Srijesh Kumar, CPTO, Practo, said, “We’re building AI as a unified system, not a set of features. At the core is Clinical Intelligence, the layer that makes sense of complex healthcare data and powers decisions. From there, we extend into Consultation Intelligence, bringing the right context into every interaction with a doctor, and a Care Companion that guides patients through their journey end to end. The goal is to move healthcare from disconnected steps to a continuous, guided experience that leads to better outcomes.”
