ACC Asia 2026 to spotlight next-gen cardiovascular care across Asia-Pacific

American College of Cardiology and Korean Society of Cardiology convene global experts to address rising cardiometabolic burden

  • By IPP Bureau | April 17, 2026

The American College of Cardiology, in collaboration with the Korean Society of Cardiology, will host ACC Asia 2026 alongside the KSC Spring Conference on April 17–18 in Gyeongju, bringing together leading clinicians, researchers, and experts to advance cardiovascular care across the Asia-Pacific region.

The conference comes at a critical time, as cardiometabolic diseases account for more than one-third of deaths and a significant share of premature mortality among adults over 40 in the region, according to a recent review published in JACC: Asia. Rapid urbanization, digital transformation, biological susceptibility, and uneven healthcare infrastructure continue to shape the region’s growing disease burden.

The two-day meeting will focus on translating cutting-edge science into clinical practice, with sessions covering artificial intelligence in electronic medical records, global disparities in STEMI care, evolving blood pressure guidelines, and integration of upcoming cholesterol management frameworks. Experts will also explore prevention strategies and advances in heart failure management.

Leaders from both organizations emphasized the importance of global collaboration in tackling cardiovascular disease. The conference aims to foster cross-border exchange of knowledge, strengthen research partnerships, and equip clinicians with region-specific, evidence-based approaches.

In addition to scientific sessions, the event will feature emerging research presentations and a competitive “FIT Jeopardy” quiz for fellows-in-training, with the winning team advancing to the ACC Annual Scientific Session in 2027.

By bridging global expertise with regional needs, ACC Asia 2026 is expected to play a key role in shaping the future of cardiovascular care and improving patient outcomes across diverse healthcare systems.
