This will be Aster’s fifth hospital in Bengaluru
Aster DM Healthcare, one of India’s leading integrated healthcare providers, has announced a Rs. 580 crore investment to develop a 500-bed multi-specialty hospital in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru.
This will be Aster’s fifth hospital in the city, increasing its total bed capacity in Bengaluru to 2,580, making it one of the top three healthcare providers in the region.
The planned hospital will have a built-up area of approximately 5 lakh sq. ft and will follow a Built-to-Suit (BTS) model, aligned with Aster’s asset-light strategy. The facility will be fully operated and managed by Aster, similar to its recently announced Sarjapur Road hospital.
It is expected to be operational in the second half of FY 2028–2029. Aster has signed an Agreement to Lease (ATL) with Kemwell Pvt. Ltd., part of the Kemfin Family Office, for a 30-year term with options to renew.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder and Chairman, Aster DM Healthcare, said, “The Yeshwanthpur hospital marks a key milestone in Aster’s India growth strategy, especially in a dynamic market like Bengaluru. With this addition, our bed capacity in the city grows to 2,580, making it one of the largest private hospital networks in a single metro. Our goal is to build a connected, high-quality healthcare network across urban India, with Bengaluru playing a central role. This facility reflects our asset-light expansion model, using Built-to-Suit infrastructure in high-demand areas to ensure capital efficiency. In the coming years, we aim to grow further across South India by entering new cities and strengthening our presence in existing ones.”
