As part of its community outreach programme, Emcure Pharmaceuticals recently conducted its annual oral and general health check-up camps for students in Pune’s Khadki area.

The camps were conducted to educate students of Alegaonkar Primary and Pre-Primary School, and SVS Primary and High School, on the best oral and personal hygiene practices. The camps were organised along with the doctors from Bharti Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital, Katraj, Pune, and Emcure’s occupational health centre (OHC) doctors.

The children were trained in adopting the correct techniques and appropriate frequency for brushing their teeth to keep cavities at bay and maintain oral hygiene. They were also made aware of the need for good personal cleanliness habits such as trimming of nails, ear wax removal, checking skin allergies and rashes, and also given a vision check for colour blindness.

Emcure has been organising regular health check-up camps, doctor visits, and medical treatment for school students for the past nine years. The company organised the annual dental and general health camp in full steam after a hiatus of two years due to Covid-19.
