The expansion will add 60 centres across more than 100 new pin codes, with a focus on improving access to specialised anorectal care in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 markets. The organisation said the expansion will also strengthen its clinical, technological and operational systems to ensure consistent standards of care across the network.

Founded as a small outpatient centre in Pune, Healing Hands Clinic has grown to 40 centres, supported by a flagship facility and a workforce of more than 800 employees. It currently treats around 50,000 new patients annually.

As part of its next phase of growth, the organisation also plans to establish a dedicated super-speciality proctology hospital in Pune within the next 18 months. The facility is expected to provide dedicated infrastructure for complex and recurrent anorectal conditions while supporting advanced procedures, clinical research, surgeon training and specialised patient care.

Dr. Ashwin Porwal, Founder and Anorectal Surgeon, Healing Hands Clinic, said the organisation's focus has been on treating anorectal conditions while preserving function and reducing the burden of treatment on patients. He pointed to procedures including Distal Laser Proximal Ligation (DLPL) for complex and recurrent fistula, a grade-wise approach to haemorrhoids, Laser Pilonidotomy for pilonidal sinus and techniques for rectal prolapse as examples of its clinical approach.

He said the partnership with L Catterton would allow Healing Hands Clinic to expand access to specialised care, strengthen research and develop a national platform for anorectal healthcare.

Roshan Porwal, Co-Founder and CEO, Healing Hands Clinic, said the company's objective is not simply to increase the number of centres but to establish a connected network where quality of care is less dependent on a patient's location. He said the expansion would require strong clinical leadership, trained teams, standardised operating systems and technology-enabled monitoring, while keeping clinical judgment at the centre of patient decisions.

The organisation is also seeking to address the stigma and delayed consultation associated with anorectal disorders, which can prevent patients from seeking timely medical advice. The expansion is intended to improve access to specialists and provide patients with greater privacy and dignity while encouraging earlier diagnosis and treatment.
