The company expects partnership to help increase the turnover generated from the business to Rs. 70 crore by 2031
QMS Medical Allied Services Limited has entered into a five-year exclusive distribution agreement with German primary diagnostic instruments manufacturer HEINE Optotechnik, strengthening its product portfolio and expanding its presence in India’s healthcare market.
Under the agreement, QMS will become HEINE’s sole distributor in India from January 1, 2027, with HEINE agreeing not to appoint or supply any other distributor, dealer or commercial partner for the covered products in the country, directly or indirectly.
The agreement was signed at HEINE’s headquarters in Gilching, Germany, by Allan Dabreo, General Manager, Hospital & Distribution Division, QMS, and Time Martin, Chief Operations Officer, HEINE Optotechnik.
HEINE’s net revenues from India are expected to reach around EUR 2.6 million (approximately Rs. 30 crore) in calendar year 2026. QMS expects the partnership to help increase the turnover generated from the business to Rs. 70 crore by 2031.
The exclusive portfolio covers a broad range of diagnostic and clinical products, including general medicine and ENT instruments, dermatoscopes and digital documentation systems, ophthalmic instruments, laryngoscopes, loupes and headlights, veterinary diagnostic instruments, power sources, bulbs, cases, spare parts and specialised products.
Mahesh Makhija, Chairman & Managing Director, QMS Medical Allied Services, said the partnership with HEINE forms a central part of the company’s product business expansion strategy and is expected to accelerate its growth over the next five years.
He added that the collaboration would enable QMS to leverage its established presence and reputation in India’s growing healthcare market while creating further opportunities for expansion.
