Godavari Biorefineries Ltd has been granted a United States patent for its novel anti-cancer invention titled "5-Hydroxy-1,4-Naphthalenedione for Use in the Treatment of Cancer".

This newly granted patent provides intellectual property protection for a novel class of therapeutic compounds designed to effectively inhibit both cancer cells and cancer stem cells.

Preclinical evaluations and technical documentation indicate that these novel compounds demonstrate significant therapeutic potential against a wide spectrum of cancer types, including breast and prostate cancers.
