To mark the occasion, Integrated Pharmaceutical Database Management System 2.0 (IPDMS 2.0), an integrated responsive cloud-based application developed by NPPA with technical support from C-DAC will be launched
A total of 12 generic medicines have been included in the list
It plays a pivotal role in monitoring pharmaceutical pricing
A total of 526 brands has seen a reduction of up to 90 per cent in MRP
The data should be submitted by August 12th 2021
NPPA has capped the trade margin for Oxygen Concentrators at 70% on Price to Distributor (PTD) level
The highest reduction in prices for Pulse Oximeters, Blood Pressure Monitoring Machine and Nebulizer has been reported by importers
NPPA also fixed retail price of 76 new drugs in the meeting dated 10th March 2021 to be launched by existing manufacturers including off-patent Anti-diabetic drugs allowing due benefit of patent expiry to the patients.
This is in pursuance to the announcement made in the Union Budget for the year 2024-25 exempting these three anti-cancer medicines from customs duty
