UPS announced the completion of its acquisition of Canada-based Andlauer Healthcare Group (AHG) for approximately C$2.2 billion ($1.6 billion), marking a major milestone in enhancing its global healthcare logistics capabilities.

Under the terms of the agreement, AHG shareholders received C$55 per share in cash. The deal, first announced in April 2025, received overwhelming shareholder approval and has cleared all customary regulatory requirements.

The integration of AHG’s specialized cold chain transportation and third-party logistics (3PL) solutions will significantly strengthen UPS Healthcare’s service offerings. This acquisition expands UPS’s ability to deliver high-quality, temperature-sensitive healthcare products with greater speed, precision, and end-to-end visibility.

With AHG’s advanced cold chain network, UPS Healthcare customers will benefit from enhanced quality assurance, shorter transit times, and broader global reach, ensuring reliable logistics for critical pharmaceutical and life science shipments.

Kate Gutmann, Executive Vice President and President of International Healthcare and Supply Chain Solutions at UPS, said: “At UPS Healthcare, our mission is to advance patient care by ensuring quality and precision in every delivery. We are thrilled to welcome the Andlauer Healthcare Group and its talented employees, who share our commitment to excellence. Together, we will deliver industry-leading healthcare logistics solutions built on speed, reliability, and innovation.”

Michael Andlauer, Founder and CEO of AHG, will continue to lead UPS Canada Healthcare and AHG, driving the expansion of specialized logistics services and strengthening support for healthcare clients across North America and beyond.

UPS reported $91.1 billion in revenue for 2024 and operates in more than 200 countries and territories, employing approximately 490,000 people worldwide. UPS Healthcare provides comprehensive services including laboratory and clinical trial logistics, cold chain packaging and shipping, inventory management, and storage and fulfillment of medical devices.

This strategic acquisition underscores UPS’s continued commitment to transforming global healthcare logistics through innovation, collaboration, and trusted expertise.
