75 bikers participated in the rally organised by Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society to promote early screening and voluntary blood donation
Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) organised a special World Thalassemia Day 2026 awareness initiative along with a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Organizers’ Felicitation Program in Hyderabad.
As part of the observance, TSCS conducted a large-scale motorcycle awareness rally titled “Hidden No More – Unmasking Thalassemia, Transforming Lives,” bringing together more than 75 bikers under the message: “Not Just a Ride, Ride for Awareness. Riding for a Thalassemia-Free Future.”
The awareness rally was supported by the Wonderers Bulletiers of Hyderabad riding community.
The bike rally commenced from the TSCS Building in Shivrampally and passed through several prominent areas of Hyderabad, including Zoo Park, M.J. Market, Afzalgunj, Purani Haveli, Mir Alam Mandi, Talabkatta, Shah Ali Banda, Aliyabad Chandrayangutta, Mylardevpally, and Aramgarh X Roads before concluding at the TSCS Building.
Following the rally, TSCS hosted the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Organizers’ Felicitation Program at the Maniram Ramratan Rathi Auditorium, TSCS, Shivrampally, where individuals and organisations supporting voluntary blood donation initiatives were honoured.
Dr. Chandrakant Agarwal said, “World Thalassemia Day is not just an occasion for awareness, but a collective call for action. Through initiatives like the awareness bike rally and the felicitation of voluntary blood donation camp organizers, we aim to recognize the real champions who support thalassemia patients selflessly.”
The event was attended by Chief Guest Shyam Sunder Ji Loya and Guest of Honour Kurra Srinath, along with Ratnavalli K, Naresh Rathi, Manoj Rupani, Dr. Suman Jain, and Aleem Baig.
TSCS also extended special appreciation to Aleem Baig for coordinating and organising the awareness rally and blood donation camp organisers’ felicitation
program.
