Exito Media Concepts will host the 15th edition of the Pharma IT Summit on October 28, 2026, at JW Marriott Juhu, Mumbai, bringing together more than 120 senior technology and business leaders from India’s pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences sectors.

Held under the theme “Technology Decisions that Define Indian Pharma’s Next Phase,” the invitation-only summit will convene CIOs, CDOs, CISOs, CTOs, heads of IT and digital transformation leaders to discuss the technologies, strategies and investments shaping the future of the pharmaceutical industry.

India’s pharmaceutical industry, valued at approximately USD 60.3 billion in FY 2025–26, is projected to reach USD 130 billion by 2030. As the industry advances towards innovation-led growth, digital transformation is becoming increasingly important for manufacturing efficiency, regulatory compliance, data integrity and global competitiveness.

The adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI (GenAI), cloud computing, enterprise resource planning (ERP) modernisation, automation and smart manufacturing is creating new opportunities for pharmaceutical companies. At the same time, organisations face growing challenges related to cybersecurity, data privacy, computer system validation and compliance with Good Practice (GxP) requirements across increasingly complex global operations.

The Pharma IT Summit 2026 will address these priorities through expert-led discussions, practical industry use cases and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange, focusing on how technology leaders can balance innovation with security, operational resilience and regulatory readiness.

Key discussion themes include the Indian pharma technology agenda for 2027; deploying GenAI in GxP-regulated environments; ERP modernisation and compliance considerations; data privacy obligations under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework; cybersecurity risks arising from IT and operational technology (OT) convergence; the shift from computer system validation (CSV) to computer software assurance (CSA); and cloud architecture decisions involving hybrid infrastructure, GxP validation and data protection.

The confirmed speakers represent leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, alongside technology and digital transformation organisations.

The speaker lineup includes Mandar Ghatnekar, Chief Technology Officer, Biocon; Raj Kumar Patra, Vice President and Head of IT – Research and Discovery, Syngene International; Pranav Gadre, Vice President and Head of Information Technology, Reliance Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd.; Mohit Agarwal, Commercial Excellence and IT Procurement/Digital Transformation, Wockhardt Ltd.; Bijender Mishra, Global CISO and Senior General Manager – IT, Alkem Laboratories Ltd.; Arif Poonawala, Founder and Managing Director, Unique Solutions; and Sairam Tanniru, Founder and CEO, Lowcode Labs.

Their participation is expected to bring perspectives spanning enterprise technology strategy, research and discovery, cybersecurity, digital transformation and technology implementation across the pharmaceutical ecosystem.

Beyond the conference sessions, the summit will provide opportunities for pharmaceutical technology leaders and solution providers to exchange experiences, assess emerging technologies and explore strategic partnerships.
