Solvay and global Femtech apparel brand Pantys are expanding their long-running partnership with a new three-year agreement aimed at accelerating menstrual health access, inclusion and measurable social impact.
The renewed collaboration will combine Solvay’s sustainable chemistry expertise with Pantys’ reusable underwear technology designed for people with menstrual and incontinence needs. The move also marks a major push into the emerging social credits market, with both companies seeking to quantify and scale real-world social benefits.
Pantys, which has partnered with Solvay since 2017, develops clinically tested reusable underwear aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on health, inclusion and reducing environmental waste. Solvay supports the products through its Amni Soul Eco technology, which enhances textile sustainability and performance.
Under the new agreement, Solvay will fund Pantys-led initiatives targeting vulnerable communities through product donations and menstrual health education programs.
At the center of the partnership is a new social credit framework designed to measure tangible improvements in daily life. The credits track outcomes such as girls staying in school during menstruation, increased time for work or study, and improved health and well-being.
The impact metrics are based on the W+ Standard developed by WOCAN and verified by independent third parties. Credits will also be recorded on the S&P Global registry to strengthen transparency and traceability.
Pantys expects the initiative to reach around 7,000 people and generate 40,000 social credits in 2026. By 2028, the company aims to expand the program to more than 70,000 people and produce up to 450,000 credits.
Solvay CEO Philippe Kehren said: “At Solvay, we believe industry should deliver tangible benefits for people and society. Through our partnership with Pantys, we are combining essential chemistry with inclusive solutions while also helping bring more rigor, transparency and scale to how social impact is measured and valued.”
Emily Ewell, CEO of Pantys, added: “This partnership with Solvay represents a new chapter, not just for Pantys, but for how corporations can measure and invest in social impact. We've spent years building real impact for women on the ground, and now we have a way to certify it, scale it, and invite others to be part of it.”
