The summit will bring together 1,200+ delegates, 100+ international faculty from 25 countries
In a significant development for global oncology collaboration, the Fortis Cancer Institute is set to host the Fortis Cancer Summit 2026, a major international oncology conference scheduled for 2–3 May 2026 at Hotel Andaz, New Delhi.
The event will bring together leading cancer specialists, researchers, and clinicians from India and across the world to collectively advance the future of cancer care.
Positioned as one of the most influential oncology platforms globally, the summit will feature participation from over 50 premier cancer centers in India, alongside 500+ national faculty and 100+ international experts representing 25 countries.
With more than 1,200 delegates and 150 oncology students expected to attend, New Delhi will emerge as a dynamic “global oncology village,” enabling high-impact scientific exchange, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
Anchored around the theme “Beyond Evidence-Based Oncology,” the two-day summit will focus on bridging the gap between evolving clinical evidence and real-world practice.
The agenda will include 25+ thematic sessions, covering organ-specific cancers, multidisciplinary oncology discussions, and hands-on workshops designed to deliver practical, application-oriented insights across the cancer care continuum.
A distinguished line-up of national and international faculty will participate, including leading oncologists and surgeons from premier institutions such as Tata Memorial Hospital, Apollo Hospitals, and top centres within Fortis Healthcare.
International experts from Oman, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States will also contribute to the global dialogue, strengthening cross-border clinical collaboration.
Iliya Karniliyus Salu, Chief Medical Director, Trust Charitos Hospital Abuja, Nigeria said, “The theme ‘Beyond Evidence-Based Oncology’ is particularly relevant, as the future of cancer care lies not only in evidence, but in translating that evidence into personalised, multidisciplinary, and patient-centric treatment approaches. I look forward to meaningful discussions and knowledge exchange that can help shape more effective and accessible cancer care pathways worldwide.”
Dr Nitesh Rohatgi, Principal Director, Medical Oncology, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram said, “Through the Fortis Cancer Summit, we are creating an ecosystem where clinicians, researchers, and young oncology professionals can exchange insights, challenge conventional approaches, and explore the next frontier of cancer management. This summit is not just about knowledge-sharing; it is about building a stronger, globally aligned oncology community committed to transforming patient outcomes.”
Dr Ankur Bahl, Principal Director, Medical Oncology, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram said, “The summit is designed as a platform to bridge the gap between emerging evidence and its real-world clinical application. By bringing together some of the finest oncology minds from across the globe, we aim to foster meaningful dialogue around advancing standards of care, improving access to cutting-edge therapies, and strengthening collaborative approaches that ultimately translate into better survival and quality of life for patients.”
Dr Ritu Garg, Chief Growth and Innovation Officer, Fortis Healthcare, said, “As oncology continues to evolve rapidly, this summit positions India and Fortis at the forefront of shaping a unified, patient-centric global cancer care ecosystem. The insights generated here are expected to directly influence clinical practices, ultimately improving patient outcomes and survival rates.”
