SOUKYA launches Rs. 125 crore, 100-bed AYUSH hospital in Bengaluru

The upcoming facility marks a strategic milestone in SOUKYA’s mission to make evidence-based holistic healthcare

SOUKYA International Holistic Health Centre, globally renowned for its premium holistic therapies, has announced its foray into affordable AYUSH-based healthcare with the acquisition of six acres of land near its existing campus in Hoskote, Bengaluru. The investment, valued at Rs. 125 crore, includes Rs. 50 crore for land acquisition and Rs. 75 crore towards construction and development of a new 100-bed integrative AYUSH hospital.

The upcoming facility marks a strategic milestone in SOUKYA’s mission to make evidence-based holistic healthcare accessible to a wider community. Designed to integrate Allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Siddha, Unani, and Yoga, the hospital will provide comprehensive care for serious, chronic, rare, and complex medical conditions.

SOUKYA, founded by Dr. Isaac Mathai, has set global benchmarks in holistic wellness by blending modern medical science with traditional healing, natural remedies, and preventive care. The new hospital represents a significant step in extending this integrative model beyond the ultra-premium segment, at a time when India’s AYUSH ecosystem is witnessing unprecedented growth and strong policy support.

The Ministry of AYUSH’s allocation for FY26 has increased by 14.2 per cent to ₹3,992.9 crore (US$461.3 million), and the Indian AYUSH market, valued at US$43.3 billion in 2024, is projected to reach US$200 billion by 2030. Simultaneously, India’s wellness tourism industry is expected to grow from ₹1.64 lakh crore to ₹2.57 lakh crore by 2031, driven by rising global demand for Ayurveda, yoga, and holistic rejuvenation. These trends reinforce India’s position as a global hub for integrative healthcare, underscoring the timeliness of SOUKYA’s expansion.

Speaking on the development, Dr. Isaac Mathai, Founder of SOUKYA, said, “SOUKYA has always been envisioned as a sanctuary where global standards of holistic healthcare meet India’s finest traditions of natural therapies. Over the past two decades, we have earned the trust of global and Indian dignitaries, including King Charles and Queen Camilla. As we look ahead, our growth will focus on two complementary paths — the continued expansion of SOUKYA’s ultra-premium wellness offerings, including our first international centre in Portugal, and our entry into the affordable holistic healthcare segment through this new initiative. With growing public trust, government support, and India’s emergence as a wellness tourism hub, this is the ideal time to expand the reach of authentic, evidence-based AYUSH care.”

Construction of the new hospital is expected to begin within the next 6 to 9 months and will be executed in two phases. Phase I will include 50 beds and core specialisations, while Phase II will expand capacity and services. The hospital is expected to be fully operational by the end of FY27.

The facility will reflect SOUKYA’s holistic philosophy, featuring an organic food programme, a one-kilometre walking track, a fully developed organic farm to promote farm-to-table living, and advanced water-harvesting systems. It will also provide comprehensive insurance coverage across all treatments to ensure inclusive access to care.

Dr. Mathai added, “Our new hospital near Bengaluru will extend SOUKYA’s philosophy of holistic healing to a wider community while maintaining the same quality and integrity that define our brand. We see strong potential for future expansion in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kerala—key growth markets for AYUSH-based healthcare. We plan to grow through both management and operational models, ensuring flexibility and consistency in care delivery. Encouraging interest from potential partners reinforces our belief that this is the beginning of an exciting new chapter in making world-class holistic healthcare both aspirational and accessible.”
