Chakravarthi AVPS named Asia Business Leader of the Year in Indian Pharma

Chakravarthi AVPS, Chairman and Managing Director of Ecobliss India Private Limited, has been honoured with the CMO Asia Business Leadership & Excellence Award in the category of Asia Business Leader of the Year – Indian Pharma.

The award recognised his contribution to strengthening India's global pharmaceutical presence and advancing patient-centric healthcare solutions.

The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Pan Pacific Singapore, where Chakravarthi was recognised alongside leading business executives from across the Asia-Pacific region, including Dr. Anne Phey, Founder and CEO of The School of Leadership; Rohit Gandhi, Group CEO of APAR Technologies Singapore; Munas van Boonstra, APAC Managing Director of TLC Worldwide; Charu Sethi of OpenRouter; and Dr. Tarita Shankar, Chairperson and President Designate of Indira University.

The award citation acknowledged Chakravarthi's leadership in promoting Indian pharmaceutical capabilities on global platforms, advancing patient-centric healthcare solutions, encouraging responsible pharmaceutical packaging and fostering international collaborations that strengthen confidence in India's healthcare ecosystem.

Over the past 25 years, Chakravarthi has represented India at numerous international healthcare, pharmaceutical and packaging conferences, advocating the country's strengths in quality, innovation and affordable medicines. 

Under his leadership, Ecobliss India has emerged as a key player in medication-adherence packaging and patient-centric packaging solutions designed to reduce medication errors and improve treatment outcomes.

Accepting the honour, Chakravarthi dedicated the award to the Indian pharmaceutical industry, stating that India's role has evolved beyond being a manufacturing hub to becoming a trusted global healthcare partner. 

He emphasised that healthcare delivers its greatest impact when treatment adherence is simplified, noting that smart pharmaceutical packaging plays a critical role in improving patient safety and health outcomes. 

Chakravarthi continues to play an active role in several industry and regulatory organisations, including FOPE, FABA, Pharmexcil, IPA, CII, FTCCI, INBA, LSSSDC, WPO and IIP, where he works to promote international partnerships while advancing India's reputation for pharmaceutical manufacturing excellence.
