Manoj Chitnis has joined Glenmark Pharmaceuticals as Senior Vice President, effective July 2026, and will be based in Mumbai. 

Chitnis brings over three decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with expertise spanning formulation and API manufacturing, production, quality control, quality management systems, external manufacturing and vendor development.

Prior to joining Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, he served as Vice President and Corporate Quality Head at JB, where he was responsible for quality assurance and quality control across eight manufacturing units, along with contract manufacturing, vendor qualification and R&D quality assurance.

Earlier, Chitnis served as Senior General Manager, QA & QC and Site Quality Head at Amneal Pharmaceuticals.  

His career also includes leadership and quality roles at Lupin, ratiopharm, Abbott, Sanofi and Ranbaxy Limited, where he worked across quality assurance and validation functions.

He began his pharmaceutical career at USV Private Limited, where he spent around a decade as Assistant Manager.

Over the course of his career, Chitnis has received several industry recognitions, including the MD's Award at Abbott. He was also recognised as the “Topmost Quality Leader” at the World Quality Congress in Mumbai in 2022.
